Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas is the national chief reporter for AAJ TV. He also co-hosts the show Bolta Pakistan, on AAJ TV, with Nusrat Javed.

Education

Mushtaq Minhas studied at Forman Christian College, in Lahore, from where he gained a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was also the vice president of the students' union. Mushtaq Minhas received Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication from University of Punjab, Lahore.

Journalism

Minhas is currently a member of the federal executive council of PFUJ (Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist) and a founder of the National Press Club Islamabad. He is also a former president of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club.

He has worked with different leading news organisations as a reporter, senior reporter and chief reporter. He was elected as a secretary of Rawalpindi-Islamabad press club for six terms.

Minhas is currently the co-host, along with Nusrat Javed, of Bolta Pakistan, a current affairs political talk show, on AAJ TV.

AOA.i just wanted to say that this money problem has been a real headache for us students.and everytime we just hear fake and rubbish talks and desperate hopes. sometimes some people dont even have to eat for many days. and there is no ray of hope there..

Asalam o alaikum Introducing ourselves, we are the Master and PhD candidates studying in various institutions of China under the Cultural Exchange Program funded by Ministry of Education, Pakistan. Ministry of Education of Pakistan has taken the decision to block our monthly stipend i.e. 200 USD for Master and 300 USD/month for Doctorate degree students. Furthermore, we didn’t receive our stipend since March, 2009. We are constrained to live here by hand to mouth and it has become difficult to study and live without financial aid. We have been trying to communicate with the office of ministry of Education and they always fool us by making lame excuses like “the fund is not approved yet”, “fund has been approved and summary has been sent to finance department”, “summary is not signed yet”. We are supposed to listen all these rubbish except a hope for stipend. To continue study without financial aid while most of us are engaged in hectic research activities is almost impossible. This mean action of ministry is affecting our educational activities in specific and life away from our homes in general. We are intending to write this brief application to you as you are one of the most influential and most read columnists all over the country. We are in great hope that you can channelize our voices for our rights and can convey our peaceful protests t higher authorities so that they must take some practical measure to resolve this problem.
