KARACHI: Criticising authorities of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday gave them two-week time to improve the overall sewerage and sanitation condition of the city.

Reports of open manholes, overflowing sewage on roads, broken pipelines and heaps of garbage on every nook and corner finally forced the CM to pay a visit and inspect himself the lack of cleanliness and faulty sewerage system in the metropolis.

However, his visit was restricted to a few areas and neighbourhoods in Karachi’s Central, West, Korangi and Malir districts failed to get his attention.
