Pakistan practice to take on Bangladesh

KOLKATA: Pakistan team Tuesday joined a practice session at Eden Garden in Kolkata to prepare for their first T20 World Cup clash with Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Opening match of the Green Shirts will start at 2.30 pm (PST).

Yesterday, Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 15 runs in the event’s only warm up match.

Pakistan after winning the toss scored 157 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sri Lanka in reply scored 142 for the loss of nine wickets.

After Bangladesh, Pakistan will then take on arch-rivals India on March 19. The much-anticipated match was shifted to Kolkata from Dharamsala over security concerns.

Shahid Afridi will be leading his side.
