Nisar to discuss regional security with UK counterpart today

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will meet his British counterpart Theresa May in London on Tuesday to discuss regional security and ways and means to strengthen ties between the two countries.

The minister reached London after attending a special session of the UN General Assembly on World Drug Problem in the United States.

A message received here on Monday said that Chaudhry Nisar would address the British think tank at the International Institute for Strategic Studies and highlight security situation in Pakistan, sacrifices rendered by Pakistani people and success of armed forces in fighting terrorism, besides discussing steps to eradicate this menace.

Chaudhry Nisar will also call on British Security Adviser to Prime Minister Mark Lyall Grant and discuss matters relating to war against terrorism, regional security, cooperation between two countries and organised crimes and human trafficking.

He would also discuss future strategy and its implementation.

The minister would attend a reception on Wednesday and address the Pakistani community living in the UK.
