LAHORE: Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said it is the turn of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to go home.

“I was an elected prime minister but I was removed from the office. Now it is the turn of Nawaz Sharif,” he said while talking to reporters here on Thursday.

He said he was not the beneficiary of NRO but he was facing 28 cases including that of NRO, which was unfair.

Mr Gilani said Nawaz Sharif would have to come to the parliament to clear his position over the Panama Leaks.

Meanwhile, former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf faced criticism from the district presidents here on Thursday.

In a meeting of the PPP Punjab organising committee, some district presidents said the party suffered because of the alleged corruption charges on him and other PPP leaders.

They said the corruption charges were made against his cabinet members.

According to sources, the district presidents said the party should work hard to rid of the corruption image.

Meanwhile, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will preside over a joint meeting of organizing committees of party’s central and southern Punjab at the Bilawal House on Friday.
