Controversy triggered as Anusha Rahman snatches phone from journalist

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecom Anusha Rahman Wednesday snatched a mobile phone from a journalist in the premises of Supreme Court of Pakistan that triggered a protest by the journalists.

Journalist Azam Gil alleged that the IT minister threatened to get him arrested, adding, “The minister snatched my mobile phone, deleted the video and threatened to imprison me.”

Talking to media over the issue at the SC premises, Saad Rafique said making a video in the premises of apex court is not allowed, adding the people hailing from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are among the protesters.

Standing at the rostrum, state minister for information Marriyam Aurangzeb tried to talk however the frenzied slogans by the journalists hampered her bid.
