Pakistan keen to enhance economic ties with US: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said Pakistan and the United States are longstanding friends, partners and strategic allies.

He said this while talking to US Ambassador David Hale in Islamabad.

Ishaq Dar said Pakistan is keen to further expand economic ties with the United States and to explore full economic potential of bilateral relations.

He urged the US investors to explore Pakistan as an investment destination.

The Minister said reputable international firms and investors, from Europe and Asia, are investing in Pakistan.

He assured his full support to US investors interested in pursuing investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Finance Minister said according to the World Bank’s Doing Business 2017 report, Pakistan is among one of the top ten global improvers.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Hale said US relationship with Pakistan is a strong, long-term, and broad bilateral partnership with many shared interests. –SAMAA/app
