KARACHI: Prolific all-rounder Shahid Afridi has decided to part ways with Peshawar Zalmi, Samaa reported on Saturday.

He made the announcement in his tweet on Friday night.

The cricketers stated that he decided to retire as Zalmi player due to personal reasons.

He said that his side won the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and was announcing his retirement as president and player of Peshawar Zalmi team due to his personal reasons.

Afridi stated, “My best wishes with Peshawar Zalmi and as far as my Peshawar fans are concerned, I know they are with me wherever I go.”

It should be noted that Afridi played a crucial role in helping Peshawar Zalmi win the second edition of PSL this year.  He could not play the final due to a hand injury which he sustained during the tournament.
