Interior ministry recommends “disciplinary action” against Dawn editor in Dawn Leaks case

ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry on Wednesday issued the notification of the Dawn Leaks inquiry report - Samaa reported.

According to the inquiry report, ex-principal information officer Rao Tehseen showed irresponsible.

It also mentions that former federal information minister 
Pervez Rasheed has already been removed from his position.

It was also mentioned that the inquiry committee had jointly agreed to take action against Tehseen.

The notification also stated that the PM Sharif approved the suggestions of the inquiry committee on 29th April 2017.

It mentions that the issue of the Daily Dawn, editor Zaffar Abbas and reporter Cyril Almeida was sent to All Pakistan Newspapers Society to take disciplinary action.

According to the notification, the committee recommended the government to remove former assistant to prime minister Tariq Fatemi from his current office.

The notification stated that all ministries and divisions have followed the instructions of the prime minister.
