SHC orders arrest of Sharjeel Memon in corruption case

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to immediately arrest Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon after cancelling his bail over a corruption case.

According to details, two-member SHC bench heard bail petitions in a case regarding mega corruption scandal.

It should be mentioned here that the case regarding the corruption worth Rs.5.77 billion is pending before the court against Sharjeel Inam Memon, Mansoor Rajput, Salman Mansoor, Gulzar and Masood Hashmi.

Altaf Memon, Umar Shahzad and Naveed are among the arrested people over the issue.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials arrested Asim Amir and Gulzar after the judicial order following the hearing was adjourned.
