Shahbaz Sharif visited Riyadh with a high-level delegation on April 15 to discuss and further clarify Pakistan’s stance on the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
Today’s meeting between the premier, Chief of Army Staff and chief minister Punjab comes after the high-level delegation meeting on Wednesday discussed a framework for how Pakistan would meet the Kingdom’s demands for troops.
Todays meeting between the chief of army staff and premier is the second under twenty-four hours.
The premier met Raheel Sharif on Wednesday to discuss the national security and the law and order situation of Quetta, which will also be discussed in today’s meeting.
As yesterday’s meeting concluded, sources revealed that Operation Zarb-e-Azb could be expanded to Balochistan to fight against Baloch insurgents as well.
