ISLAMABAD: A resolution has been unanimously passed by Senate Committee on Human Rights in support of lifting the ban on famous video sharing website YouTube.

The meeting of Senate Committee on Human Rights was held in Islamabad on Monday under the chairmanship of Senator Afrasiab Khattak.

The committee stated that the issue of lifting ban from YouTube will be highlighted in today's senate session.

It was suggested by the committee that the ban imposed on this website was of no use.  It is to be noted that the government banned YouTube about 18 months back because of a blasphemous video.
