Myanmar air chief visits PAF headquarters

ISLAMABAD - Republic of the Union of Myanmar Air Force Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint visited Air Headquarters here on Thursday.

On his arrival at Air Headquarters, the distinguished guest was received by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman. A smartly turned out contingent of PAF presented the guard of honour.


After reviewing the guard of honour, General Khin Aung Myint paid homage to the martyrs of PAF by laying floral wreath on Martyrs’ Monument. He was also introduced to the Principle Staff Officers of PAF.


Later, the visiting guest called on Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman in his office. Both the dignitaries remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional and mutual interest. The delegation also attended a briefing at Air Headquarters on the organisation, role and functioning of PAF.


The Republic of the Union of Myanmar Air Force delegation is on a four-day visit to Pakistan on the invitation of PAF. The delegation will visit various PAF bases and installations.
