ISLAMABAD: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Siraj-ul-Haq, has thrown his weight behind Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the wake of criticism on Imran Khan by his opponents.

Reports said the JI chief on Sunday telephoned Khan and expressed his full support for PTI’s stance over judicial commission report.

Haq was of the view that an All Parties Conference (APC) should be called to discuss electoral reforms in the country in the light of the inquiry commission report.

The JI chief, in his telephonic conversation with PTI leader, said that the commission had not determined those responsible for election mismanagement “which is deplorable.”

Haq observed that commission’s report had not included any recommendation to make upcoming elections free and fair.
