PESHAWAR: Funeral prayers for the martyrs of Friday’s terrorist attack on the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) camp in Badaber were offered at the Corps Head Quarters here today.

At least 20 people, including 16 worshipers offering Fajr prayers were martyred when terrorists clad in Frontier Constabulary uniforms attacked the PAF camp about 10 kilometres from Peshawar.

The martyrs included four members of the armed forces who repelled the attackers at the PAF residential compound in Badaber.

Army Captain Isfandyar Bukhari embraced martyrdom while fighting valiantly and leading his troops from the front, said DG ISPR Maj-Gen Asim Bajwa.

Three junior technicians – Shan Ali, Saqib Javaid and Tariq Abbass – also embraced martyrdom while fighting the attackers and killing five terrorists.
