Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain was elected as MNA for his first term as a PML(Q) candidate. He has previously served as Chairman District Council Gujrat. He has also been elected as Member of the Provincial assembly of Punjab for the terms of 1988, 1990 and 1997.

An industrialist and agriculturist by profession, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain received his bachelors degree from George Washington University, U.S.A in 1982.

Married with three sons and a daughter, his hobbies include hunting and riding.
