I agree with Ali Khan. Tahir Rasheed is the man, who represented the general pubilc especially the lower middle class. We respect him becuase he speaks the truth without any fear even if he was sent to jail. We need leader like him to lead us.

Sheikh M Tahir Rasheed has had represented his constituency very well during his tenure as MPA and MNA. He had been jailed for fourteen months because he had unfolded many scams of the Bhutto's government. We need honest people like him to lead our country.

Mr. Sh Tahir Rasheed is a very good character he always supported poor and needy people he hold public offices for four times and he worked a lot for poor and needy people. He has a very Strong Political family background. And I want to talk about recently happened incident of wall building in his house. according to city map there is no street adjacent to his house for approaching itehad colony but he has given some place from his property to reach itehad colony for poor people and also for females and children but as you all know that now a days there is a big problem of security so that he wants to stop people with motor bikes to use this street because of security and i think he has a right to use his property as he wants no one can stop or ask him to do something he wants to do on his property. what would you think who will give way from his property to other people in this selfish and mean world but MR. Sh. Tahir Rasheed did . He is Really a nice man

Residents of Ithehad Colony St No 2 ( Multan,Pakistan) Tuesday, March 03, 2009 8:02:23 AM (MDT - USA)
I am a resident of Ithehad Colony Street No 2. We all know that Sheikh Tahir Rasheed had left some portion of his property unbuilt to facilitate us despite the fact that we have access to our houses from other roads. The incident / protest which happened on sunday had no backing from the residents of the area. But it seemed a planned conspiracy to defame a kind-hearted person. Sheikh Tahir Rasheed is the person who was the first elected politician to be sent to jail from southern punjab in 1994 over raising his voice over people's problems in National Assembly of Pakistan in the Bhutto's regime. We need people like him to represent us. If we need some thing from some one . We should be polite to them and request them gently rather than bullying them or threatening them like the coments passed by AHAL MAHLA. In my opinion, if there is a problem, we should not be emotional on any issue and should try to find a peaceful solution. Confrontation is not a solution. Our country is already going through a bad time. We should ease out things and try not to complicate them. We did request Sheikh Tahir Rasheed to close this passage due to burgularies in the area as the thieves leave their cars etc outside the gate of Sheikh's house and run off coveniently after stealing or snatching things from our street. Moreover, Sheikh Tahir Rasheed is the owner of the property so we admit that its his choice as to what he wants to do with it.

I guess before we comment on any one's character. We need to be impartial and hear the version from both sides to pass a judgement. With regards to Sheikh Muhammad Tahir Rasheed, I would like to say he bears a good character and is a socially responsible person. Infact, he was not in breach of law in building the wall on his own property which he left unbuilt some years back himself. Moreover, the area where this incident had taken place belongs to Gulgasht Colony rather than Ithehad Colony Street No 2 and Sh. Tahir Rasheed is the legal owner of the property/ area in question. The residents of Itehad Colony Street No 2 which is on the back side of Gulgasht Colony have no legal right to pass through private property / passage left intentionally by Sheikh Muhammad Tahir Rasheed as the Government has already provided them proper access to their houses. The reason for closing this passage was to save the residents of Ithehad Colony Street No 2 from robberies. As there had been many cases of purse snatching etc due to this passage. Therefore, it should be noted that it was the courtesy of Sh. Tahir Rasheed who left the area of his personal property unbuilt to facilitate the people. Considering the law and order situation in the country, the local Police officers had suggested closure of this passage as it was not a main entrance to the street, in an attempt to stop the incidents of robberies being occured in future. Therefore the decision to close this passage was to safe guard people rather than teasing people as the comment above implies. Moreover, every Pakistani has legal right to use his/her properties as they want to.

Mr sh.tahir rasheed has very bad character. and he try,s many time to teasing his street fellows in different ways in recently he tried to built a wall on the main street of ithad colony street no.2 near peer khurshid colony Multan but all the people get toghter and made protest about his this bad attempt to snatch the nearest road link from poor peoples. we request to our leaders and our powerful media to advise this politicians to avoid from these type of activities to teasing poor people......... if he will not stop from these types of activities then all the people of the colony take strict action on him and in the cause of any loss he will be responsible all the matter
